Interview & Match Manager

Permanent - Full Time - Current location is St. Paul, MN - moving to Richfield, MN in June 2018

Menttium is seeking an experienced recruiter/interviewer to join our team. This position is designed to support the interview and match process for mentees enrolled in our programs as well as our network of mentors. The position is critical to the wellbeing of the company and plays a key role in ensuring successful mentoring partnerships that lead to mentee development and growth. This position will be responsible for interacting with mentees and mentors all over the world, with data-driven recruiting and relationship management as integral aspects of the role. Prior experience in a traditional human resources role, staffing position or recruiting will transfer nicely to the demands of this position.

Menttium is located in Lowertown St. Paul, MN, but will be relocating to Richfield, MN in June of 2018. We offer market-based compensation and great benefits, a collaborative and fast-paced work environment, and an extremely talented and dedicated staff. Menttium is an equal opportunity employer.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Conduct mentor and mentee phone interviews based on projected forecasts
    • Each interview is 30-60 minutes in length and requires the ability to ask both scripted and non-scripted follow up questions, listen for nuances and decipher important details to then inform the match process.  All interview notes must be documented and summarized into a software system.
    • Interviews will primarily be conducted with high performing business professionals ranging from manager to c-suite level. Executive presence, attention to detail, ability to “speak” business language and build rapport is a must. An advanced understanding of leadership development topics is beneficial to reduce the learning curve, as well as cultural competence. A strong aptitude and passion around learning and development in the corporate context is a must.
  • Manage and lead the “Match process” – matching mentees and mentors into pairs based on a proprietary match methodology. The ability to leverage database reports and technology will be critical to the success of this role in addition to a skill for understanding style and cultural norms that will impact a partnership’s ability to form trust and thus goal achievement during the course of a 12-month program year. Prior experience matching job seekers into open jobs can provide a foundation for the matching process.
  • Recruit and retain a dynamic and diverse mentor pool. Identify gaps in mentor pool to inform mentor recruitment strategy.  Track mentor network demographics, e.g. function, industry, region, title breakdown to ensure there is the right mix of skills, experiences and backgrounds to support the incoming group of enrolled mentees.
  • Manage the recruiting process for building and maintaining a strong, quality network including the communication strategy and data collection and analysis strategy.
  • Track and manage participant engagement through a set of established metrics.
  • Manage relationships between mentees and mentors and recommend course correction when needed – prior experience with employee relations in a traditional human resources environment would translate well. Basic knowledge of employee relations policies is applicable, but is not directly applied to our programming.
  • Strong relationship building skills will be an asset for identifying additional engagement opportunities for participants outside of the core program structure.
