Director, Client Experience

Menttium is seeking an experienced professional with a passion for leadership development to join our team. This position is designed to manage the operational aspects of our programs to ensure all mentoring programs run efficiently and effectively. Additional responsibilities include support of our volunteer mentor network as well as enrolled mentees to deliver an outstanding experience to all of our stakeholders. The position is critical to the wellbeing of the company and plays a key role in relationship and process management. Prior experience in a traditional human resources role, staffing position, project management, process improvement or recruiting could transfer nicely to the demands of this position, as well as experience working in a Fortune 500 company.

Key Accountabilities in Partnership with other Client Experience Directors:

  • Conduct mentor and mentee phone interviews:
    • Each interview is 30-60 minutes in length and requires the ability to ask scripted and non-scripted follow up questions, listen and decipher important details and document and summarize the responses into a software system. Typing speed of 50+ wpm is required to ensure data integrity and clarity.
    • Interviews will primarily be conducted with high performing business professionals ranging from manager to c-suite level. Executive presence, language and comprehension of corporate business terminology is a must. An advanced understanding of leadership development topics is beneficial to reduce the learning curve. A strong aptitude and passion around learning and development in the corporate context is a must.
  • Manage and lead the “Match process” – matching mentees and mentors into pairs based on a proprietary match methodology. The ability to leverage database reports and technology will be critical to the success of this role in addition to a skill for understanding style and cultural norms that will impact a partnership’s ability to form trust and thus goal achievement during the course of a 12-month program year. Prior experience matching job seekers into open jobs can provide a foundation for the matching process. A passion for people, phycology or human behavior often fits well with this task. Your job is to find the right mentor match to support the mentee’s goals versus you supporting the mentee yourself.
  • Recruit and track mentor network demographics, e.g. function, industry, region, title breakdown to ensure there is the right mix to support the incoming group of enrolled mentees.
  • Manage and execute the process for building and maintaining a strong, quality network including the communication strategy and data collection and analysis strategy. Track and manage participant engagement through a set of established metrics.
  • Manage relationships between mentees and mentors and recommend course correction when needed – prior experience with employee relations in a traditional human resources environment would translate well. Basic knowledge of employee relations policies is applicable but is not directly applied to our programming. Strong relationship building skills will be an asset for identifying additional engagement opportunities for participants outside of the core program structure.
  • Project Management – work within guidelines to run and execute projects to completion on time and budget
  • Account Management – Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders to maintain and grow existing business

Minimum qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years interviewing experience
  • Bachelors degree in business, management, human resource management, or similar. Eight+ years experience in lieu of degree.
  • Fast and accurate typing skills 50+ wpm
