Role Overview
The Relationship Manager is responsible for building and sustaining strong relationships across our mentoring ecosystem – clients, mentors, and mentees while ensuring high-quality program delivery and a positive, consistent participant experience.
This mid-level, multifaceted role blends relationship management, program execution, stakeholder communication, and problem-solving. The Relationship Manager will interact with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders, and will proactively identify opportunities to strengthen partnerships and expand engagement when additional programs or services align with client goals.
This role is well-suited for someone who is organized, proactive, collaborative, energized by relationship building and comfortable managing multiple priorities across a dynamic set of stakeholders.
The Relationship Manager will report to the Relationship Management Director.
Key Responsibilities
Relationship Management and Partnership Growth
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building trusted, long-term relationships.
- Maintain consistent client engagement to support relationship development, program execution, and the sharing of mentoring insights.
- Ensure clients understand Menttium’s value proposition and how mentoring aligns with their Human Capital and Talent strategies.
- Identify client needs, recommend solutions, and escalate risks or challenges to the Director of Relationship Management as needed.
- Identify opportunities to expand client partnerships by recognizing evolving needs and introducing relevant Menttium programs, services, or value-add offerings in a consultative manner.
- Contribute to retention and growth by delivering excellent service and strong outcomes.
Program Management & Delivery
- Partner with the Operations Director to execute program milestones, including enrollment collection, reporting, insights analysis, and impact presentations.
- Provide consulting and program management support to clients designing and/or delivering internal mentoring programs.
- Address mentor–mentee partnership issues promptly, professionally, and with appropriate discretion.
- Manage participant communication, survey follow-up, and support inbox inquiries to ensure timely responsiveness and high satisfaction.
- Host quarterly mentor speed networking sessions and support participant engagement initiatives.
Content, Communication & Thought Leadership
- Own quarterly Program Manager and Mentor newsletters, including content planning, curation, and distribution.
- Support the annual Business Education Webinar strategy by securing monthly Voices of Experience speakers and collaborating with internal stakeholders to execute sessions.
- Share relevant industry trends, insights, and value-add content with clients and mentors to strengthen engagement.
- Oversee quarterly mentor milestone recognition activities.
Data, Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare program reports, analyze key insights, and present outcomes to clients, including senior-level stakeholders when applicable.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Salesforce and other systems.
Skills & Experience
Required
- Minimum of 5-8 years of professional experience, ideally in Relationship Management, Client Success, Account Management, Program Management, Learning & Development, HR/Talent, or related fields.
- Demonstrated ability to build trust and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders.
- Strong program/project management skills, with excellent organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret data, identify insights, and present findings clearly.
- Comfort facilitating meetings (virtual and in person), small-group sessions, and networking events.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally and managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience using CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and webinar platforms (Zoom, Teams, etc.).
- Ability to recognize client needs and identify opportunities to expand engagement through additional programs or services aligned to client goals.
Preferred
- Experience in mentoring, leadership development, or talent development space.
- Experience facilitating virtual events or community programming.
- Familiarity with shared inbox management, survey tools, or reporting dashboards.
