Working and Parenting During a Pandemic

Parents are facing unprecedented levels of stress as they navigate the “new normal” of working from home while their kids are also at home. On May 1, 2020, we facilitated a session designed for parents to connect with each other to discuss the challenges they have been facing and to share solutions they are figuring out on a daily basis.

This session was 40 minutes including a brief presentation on strategies to manage stress and create an empowering mindset, followed by small group discussions. We have edited the content to remove the small group discussion segment and have kept strategies along with tools and resources for your viewing. This was a wonderful opportunity for parents in our Menttium community to come together to offer each other support, advice, and encouragement during this global crisis.

Please feel free to access the 17 minute recorded session including strategies for managing stress presented by Dr. Sovleig Brown. If this facilitated session, including breakout discussions is of interest to you, please contact us to consider offering this session within your organization or business unit.

This session is facilitated by Menttium Consultant Dr. Solveig Brown, anthropologist and author of All on One Plate: Cultural Expectations on American Mothers.
